Finding and affording child care
What types of child care are available?
Child care programs, much like families, are unique. There is no one-size-fits-all solution, so it's important to be aware of your options before starting your search for a provider. In Georgia, there are two types of licensed child care programs: Family child care learning homes (FCCLH) and child care learning centers.
How to choose a child care provider
Selecting a child care provider becomes much simpler when you understand what characteristics indicate a quality program and have guidance on the steps you should take during your search process. To help you get started, we have broken down the steps for you, listed organizations that can help, and provided printable checklists to use during your search.
