Supporting healthy child care environments
At Quality Care for Children, we partner with early care and education programs across Georgia to provide funding, guidance, and hands-on support that promote healthy environments for children. While we don’t have any open grant applications at the moment, new opportunities are on the horizon for early 2025:
Harvest of the Month Pilot Program – Ten child care centers and family child care learning homes in DeKalb and Gwinnett counties will be selected to participate, thanks to funding from QCC’s USDA Farm to School grant.
Leap to Health: Learning, Eating And Playing: 30 early care and education programs will be selected to receive training, coaching, and $500 in materials to help meet their nutrition or physical activity goals. Eligible programs must participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and be located in one of the following counties:
Metro-Atlanta: Cobb, Dekalb, Fulton and Gwinnett
Southeast Georgia: Atkinson, Appling, Bacon, Ben Hill, Berrien, Brantley, Brooks, Camden, Charlton, Clinch, Coffee, Colquitt, Cook, Echols, Glynn, Irwin, Jeff Davis, Lanier, Liberty, Long, Lowndes, McIntosh, Pierce, Thomas, Tift, Turner, Ware and Worth
Apply by Friday, February 14th at: https://bit.ly/4jGIJsE. This program is funded by USDA's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program- SNAP. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
